In another epic collaboration, Mill+ Directors David Lawson and Robert Sethi partnered with barrettSF to deliver the explosive action in Marvel ‘Team Up’. The fully CG spot sees a collection of Marvel favorites duking it out. That is, until a never-before-seen “grenade refraction,” courtesy of the unpredictable Deadpool, is thrown into the mix.

Superhero favorites return to the screen in Marvel’s latest spot, ‘Strike Force’ directed by David Lawson and Robert Sethi of Mill+ and created by barretSF. Constructed entirely in CG, the action-packed piece teases Marvel’s upcoming ‘Strike Force’ gaming launch.

This is one of three marvel strikeforce commercials that I directed along with Robert Sethi.

Director David Lawson crafted a 100% CG portrayal of the explosive narratives in Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire

Staying true to the adventurous spirit of the popular mobile game, the VFX team brought to life an action-packed scene surrounding the main characters as they charge into battle.

'Horizons' opens on the cast — Noctis, Gladiolus, Ignis and Prompto — as they speed toward a vast battleground, a larger-than-life kingdom exploding out of the sand behind them. Wild visuals drive the story from start to finish, from speeding cars to soaring dragons and powerful giants.

In combining a large variety of CG visuals with skilled camerawork, editing and sound design, the artists were able to maintain a feeling of intimacy (“clausterphobia,” as David describes it) in the spot’s critical, close-up moments, despite the presence of thousands of CG characters and interactions within view. David says, “It was crucial that our team combine both elements and find the balance between them. I was really pleased with how it turned out.”

He adds, “This project is the result of a very collaborative effort with the CG team and internal editors.”
